These bathboards are removable and available in a range of sizes to suit most bath widths. They provide a seated area over the bath which can provide a safer seated method of transfer in/out of the bath.
Many of these products have a weight capacity suitable for heavy duty use.
Individuals who use a bathboard need to be able to lift their legs over the bath side, or have assistance to do so from a carer. If an individual cannot straighten their legs at the knee or have stiff hips then a bathboard may not be suitable for them.
