Manufacturer's description

The keyhole shaped tub of the Rhapsody is designed to meet the safety and comfort needs of both residents and carers. It gives excellent immersion to the patient’s upper body but uses no more water than an ordinary tub. The key-hole shape provides sound ergonomic working conditions, and gives easier access to wash around the shoulder and arm areas. The Rhapsody tubs is available in different lengths, and is constructed of fibre-glass reinforced polyester to ensure easy-clean, smooth surfaces. When combined with one of three different control panels, the appropriate mobile lift and selected options and features, Rhapsody will meet the needs of both carer and resident, now and in the future.

Help and advice

These baths are designed to allow hoist access. They have clearance under the bath for the hoist legs. The majority of baths in this section are height adjustable baths but the minimum height is preset to allow for a hoist's legs.

Before purchasing one of these baths consider if it is the most suitable option in the long term. An overhead hoist above a standard bath may be a more suitable long term solution, providing the bath provides sufficient support for the bather. Shower facilties could be a more suitable option but it will depend on the needs of the user and carers.

See our shower and showering equipment section for more information.
