DLF's description
Chrome plated steel, drop down, bed side rails, the length of which can be adjusted. Daventry sides are linked by two metal crossbars which run across the bed frame, under the mattress. Crossbars adjust to fit single, three-quarter and double size beds. Lancaster Bed Rails attach to the bed frame via clamps. Pads are available to fit over the side rails. Available in two heights to allow for mattress overlays.

Manufacturer's description
Telescopic bed rails that are simple to install and adjustable in width and length via spring-loaded buttons. Designed for use on single, three quarter and double sized divan beds and manufactured from chrome plated tubular steel. Not suitable for slatted or hospital beds. Sold in pairs. Use in conjunction with the Small NRS Bed Bumpers, G69088.
Help and advice
It is essential that bed rails are suitable for the people who are using them and compatible with the particular beds being used. Bed rails should never be used to restrain a person.
If the user is likely to attempt to climb over the rails and fall from an even greater height, it may be worth considering placing a mattress directly onto the floor. Caring for someone at floor level can be problematic, but in certain cases it provides a safer and more dignified solution.
Side rails can pose a risk of serious injury, for example if part of the body gets trapped between them. Thus it is essential that care is taken when selecting, positioning and adjusting the rails and also when choosing or changing the type of mattress to be used in a bed with rails so as not to put the user at risk.
