Powered elevating units are placed underneath a standard bed to convert it into an adjustable height bed. They have a powered mechanism controlled with a handset. This has either separate push button switches or a rocker switch. All units are mobile on castors with brakes.
Elevating units require more space than the bed, as the scissor mechanism alters the position of the bed slightly as it elevates.
Take care that there is no wall-mounted obstruction to prevent the bed from moving vertically.
