Low air loss mattresses

Low air loss mattresses

With low air loss mattresses, air is gradually lost but continually replaced in response to the weight distribution and movement of the user. They work by 'floating' the patient on air-filled cells while circulating air across the skin to reduce moisture. Many also have the option of alternating cells.
