The lifting poles in this section consist of a wall or ceiling fixed frame with a strap hanging from it. A hand grip is attached to the strap to use to pull yourself into a sitting or semi-lying position.
It is advisable to consult a physiotherapist or occupational therapist before choosing and using this equipment. Lifting poles may not be appropriate for people in certain circumstances, for example if they have poor trunk control or painful shoulders.
