The Digital Treasure Book is a cloud based application that harnesses different technologies to provide a reminiscence resource, messaging service, reminders and personalised content to support independence.
Once set up, the content works both as a biography and a reminiscing resource, allowing individuals to share their wishes, needs and experiences with family, friends and caregivers. This, in turn, alleviates the negative effects of memory loss by acting as a vital reference point and permanent memory bank. Most significantly, the Digital Life Book is helping to re-connect families across the generations. The Digital Treasure Book allows the user to: reconnect families and loved ones, reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, enhance mental health and wellbeing, generate a biography and reminiscing resource alleviate the effects of memory loss, provide reminders, prompts and a messaging service, support the provision of personalised care in a range of settings.
