These tables comprises a table top that can be positioned close to your chair.
Alternatively you may wish to consider a lap tray. Lap trays rest on the user's lap and are usually supported on a beanbag or cushion that moulds around the thighs.
The weight and manoeuvrability of the table needs to be considered as the table will need to be moved out of the way when you stand up and put back in place when you are seated. Most of these tables have castors which can assist moving them into position.
