Children's corner seat. Optional Jenx nursery table. Chair available in three sizes: size one for children aged six months to three years; size two for children aged two and half years to six years and size three for children aged 5-10 years.

The Jenx Corner Seat is an ideal first seat. Attractive upholstery and excellent, functional design features combine to provide a seat that has been independently assessed as among the best available.
The Jenx Corner Seat is available in three sizes so your child is always in a chair that is the right size for them; not too big and not too small. Each size offers some adjustment to give just the right level of support for each child. The upper back support can be raised to give support to a taller child and the pommel can be moved to accomodate a larger child. The chest and lap straps can also be adjusted to suit a wide range of needs. The upper back pad can be removed altogether to give just hip support for a child with trunk control.
Help and advice
It is important that the occupational therapist and/or the physiotherapist working with your child are involved in the choice of chair. They can advice on positioning to encourage head control and sitting balance, and on chairs that encourage a symmetrical sitting posture.
Read considerations on the use of corner and floor sitting chairs, for example transfers and children's comfort.
The chairs listed here may be provided by your local authority, depending on their eligibility criteria. If your child is eligible, the equipment will be provided on a long-term loan basis. Alternatively, you may be eligible for a direct payment to purchase something suitable.
