When considering a wheelchair, an assessment with an occupational therapist or physiotherapist is very important. There will be individual factors that determine which wheelchair best suits your child's needs, and it is vital that your child's posture and position in the wheelchair is professionally assessed. Furthermore, there are many things that need to be considered in relation to when your child is ready to drive a powered wheelchair.
