Included in this section is footwear that is available in unequal sized pairs, or as single pieces. This may be suitable if you have feet that are significantly different size, or if you are an amputee.1
Unless you have a medical need for specialised footwear, the NHS does not prescribe footwear for odd sized feet.1
Footwear should always be fitted by someone who has been trained in how to fit shoes correctly, particularly if you have a foot condition or unequal sized feet. If you are not sure, check whether staff have completed a training course in shoe fitting. These courses may be run by shoe manufacturers or by The Society of Shoe Fitters.1
