Telephones included in this section indicate an incoming call by flashing a light. Although many telephones available on the highstreet now have a small flashing light as a standard feature the telephones included in this section should have a larger than average flashing, or strobe, light. Some telephones in this section may also have a vibrating pad which will vibrate when a call is received.
The call indicator light on many of these phones is quite small and will only attract your attention if you're already looking towards the phone.1 If you think you will be relying on the indicator light to know when the phone is ringing we recommend you look for a phone with a strobe light or consider a separate call indicator light which works with your phone. These seperate call indicator lights often have powerful flashes/stobes which you are more likely to notice.
