These slopes help to position your reading and writing materials and may reduce the strain of having to lean forwards over a desk. Desktops that slope between 15° and 25° can reduce neck flexion and forward sitting postures.1,3
As well as the slope of your writing surface other factors to consider when writing include:1,2
- the position of your chair relative to your desk
- the height of your desk
- your hand and arm position
- your pen grip
- your writing tool
