Help and advice

If swallowing liquid is the cause of difficulties with drinking, expert advice should be sought from a speech and language therapist, who will be able to conduct an assessment and recommend the type and thickness of fluid suitable for you.2 An occupational therapist can give advice on equipment and techniques to help make drinking easier.
