Large sheets, reels or rolls of slip-resistant material
This section contains soft, flexible, slip-resistant material that is available in a variety of widths, lengths and colours and can be cut to any size or shape.
This material can be used:
- under bowls, cups or telephones to prevent them sliding across a smooth surface
- wrapped around lids and handles to increase grip.

Slip resistant material from a roll is thinner and lighter than slip-resistant mats which tend to be more hard wearing and durable.
If this material is kept clean it will retain its non slip quality for much longer. The cleaning instructions vary according to manufacturer but can be as simple as using soap and water, some are machine washable and others require specialised wipes.
Some of these materials are no longer effective when wet or can only be subjective to a medium temperature range which means they are not suitable for putting hot pans on.
