It could be worth trying picnic tables before purchase. Most of these tables accommodate a wheelchair with an average wheelbase size, upright back support and compact footplates. If you are using a wheelchair with a longer wheelbase check you have enough space and can access the table to participate in the picnic. Check the height and depth of the bench, if you are transferring from your wheelchair.
