Posture when gardening

Image of Posture when gardening

This section has products and adaptations which may help you to use alternative postures while gardening including kneeling stools and pads; long handled attachments for tools; raised beds, containers and hanging baskets.

The kneeling stools can be knelt on or turned upside down and used as a stool, they often provide arm supports to assist you standing up again. 1,2

The raised beds, standing containers and hanging baskets may be easier to access from a sitting position.

Add-on handles and gripping aids can be used for other items such as golf, sports and cleaning equipment. Extension handles may assist you to use a long handled tool in an upright or sitting position rather than bending.
