These baths allow access from either side by giving room for a hoists legs to pass under the bath or around it. The baths included are for domestic use but may be used in hospital and residential care settings.
Many of these baths have features including integral and contoured bases, thermostatically controlled shower units and whirlpool and spa facilities.
These baths are designed to allow hoist access. They have clearance under the bath for the hoist legs. The majority of baths in this section are height adjustable baths but the minimum height is preset to allow for a hoist's legs.
Before purchasing one of these baths consider if it is the most suitable option in the long term. An overhead hoist above a standard bath may be a more suitable long term solution, providing the bath provides sufficient support for the bather. Shower facilties could be a more suitable option but it will depend on the needs of the user and carers.
