Help and advice

These baths are designed to allow hoist access. They have clearance under the bath for the hoist legs. The majority of baths in this section are height adjustable baths but the minimum height is preset to allow for a hoist's legs.

Before purchasing one of these baths consider if it is the most suitable option in the long term. An overhead hoist above a standard bath may be a more suitable long term solution, providing the bath provides sufficient support for the bather. Shower facilties could be a more suitable option but it will depend on the needs of the user and carers.

See our shower and showering equipment section for more information.

Read more on support, comfort and positioning in the bath.

See our choosing an overhead hoist fact sheet.
