Due to inaccessible areas which harbour bacteria, traditional "perfection" bedpans no longer comply with current British Standards (BS2588). Our new pans tackle cross-infection issues by having no recesses so there's nowhere for bacteria to hide!
85% of all toileting is now "out-of-bed". To complement the Bedpan (for sitting patients) and the Slipper (for lying down) there is now a third Insert Pan especially developed for sampling and used directly under commodes eliminating the need for a rack and therefore reducing areas of contamination.
Easier to clean through intelligent shapes with no "pockets"
Can be washed and disinfected in automatic equipment up to 95 degrees centigrade thus removing all faeces and killing all bacteria
Non-stick surface for patient comfort, gentle rounded edges and smooth surface area
Vacuum pressed rather than injection moulded, much stronger, less brittle, "non-peeling", longer lasting and therefore much greater value for money
Easily identifiable in bright yellow finish
Help and advice
Bed pans may be used by people who are being nursed in bed and who cannot, or should not for medical reasons, be moved out of bed. Many bedpans require the user to be able to bridge (lift their bottom) so that the pan can be slid underneath their body.
