Combined bath and shower units
These are specialist baths which have a built-in shower facility combining the benefits of bathing and showering. They can be helpful for hair washing and personal care.
Several of the baths have side entry via a door and many have an integral seat. Most of their showers are thermostatically controlled.

Before replacing a standard bath consider the use of an over-bath shower, alternative bath equipment and/or method of transfer into the bath such as a bath lift.
Informed advice regarding equipment which suits your individual needs is available from community occupational therapists (OT's) who are often based in the Social Services department of your local council.
