Help and advice

Ensure that the brakes are on before sitting or standing from the commode, always re-apply the brakes after moving the commode. These commodes are only designed to transport the user a short distance, e.g across a bathroom, and are not an alternative to a wheelchair.

We recommend you contact your local social services and ask to arrange an assessment with an occupational therapist to determine the most suitable chair to suit your needs.
