Commode & shower chairs for users over 190kg
Dual purpose toilet chairs which can be used in the shower and have a commode facility as a standard, or optional, feature. Models may be designed for stationary use or with wheels for short transfers, some have large rear wheels for the user to self propel. Models vary in the provision and design of the back rest, armrests and footrests. All the models listed on this page have a user capacity of 190kg or above.

Help and advice
Ensure that the brakes are on before sitting or standing from the commode, always re-apply the brakes after moving the commode. These commodes are only designed to transport the user a short distance, e.g across a bathroom, and are not an alternative to a wheelchair.
The choice of toileting chair most suited to you will depend on your needs, your personal measurements and environmental factors. We recommend you contact your local social services and ask to arrange an assessment with an occupational therapist to determine the most suitable chair to suit your needs.
