The items in this section are all designed to assist with dental care, whether brushing the teeth or dispensing toothpaste.
Some of the products will stablise the toothbrush or toothpaste making it easier to use - especially for one-handed use. Other products will enlarge the handle of a toothbrush making it easier to hold.
Dental hygiene is an essential part of health and well-being. Enlarged handles may help people with weak grip. Handles may be lengthened or angled to assist with weak grip or impaired upper mobility to access the mouth.
Some poeple may find an electric toothbrush easier to manage as they have a larger grip. They are readily available on the high street. The range of functions will be reflected in the price.
For a person with coordination problems such as tremors, ataxia, or athetoid movements, stabilising the arm or using equipment to dampen the movements may help. Building up the handles may assist people who have a limited grip.
