Portable bath units are inflatable and are usually combined with shower facilities. They are often used on a short term basis in an alternative room to the bathroom. They can reduce the amount of moving and handling required and provide a solution to hair washing outside of the bathroom.
Portable bath units with shower facilities can be used in alternative rooms of the house to retain personal dignity. For example, a portable bath could be set up on a bed. They could also be used downstairs by individuals who can only access the ground floor of their house, perhaps because they can no longer manage their stairs. The user can be rolled onto the deflated bath unit reducing the moving and handling required. The unit is then inflated and the water added.
A foot pump or electric pump is required to inflate the bath, check which one will be supplied with the bath.
Consider how far the bath will be from the nearest taps, and then check whether the shower hose supplied with the bath will be long enough to reach them. Alternatively, some models come with a portable water tank and drainage system.
