It is worth thinking about the short and long terms needs of the person and other household members. Some standard wash basins can be adapted to become adjustable height or can be fitted at an alternative height. If fitting from new, consider the whole range of options.

When choosing the design of the wash basin consider the space available in the bathroom area and the use of the basin. For example, will it be used mainly to just wash hands? Or is it to wash, shave and apply make-up? If it is the second option, then you may require a larger capacity sink and storage for toiletries etc.
