DLF's description
Plastic rings or triangle that floats on bath water or in washbasin. Colour graduates mauve to pink when water temperature is 34 or 37 degrees C. Washbasin or sink, mauve to vivid pink at 47 degrees C.

Hotspots™ have been designed to provide carers with an unmistakable visual warning when bath or sink water may be too hot for comfort or safety. These anti-scald warning products are totally reliable and simple to use. Simply drop the Hotspot™ into the bath or sink. If the water is above the specified temperature the Hotspot™ will change colour. The bath Hotspot™ will change colour if the temperature exceeds 37 Degrees Celsius.
Help and advice
These products can be used to check the temperature of bath water before use. They are particularly useful if the bather has reduced skin sensation and needs an objective way to determine temperatures.
Healthy adult skin requires only 30 seconds of exposure to water at 55 degrees centigrade before third-degree burning occurs. At 70 degrees centigrade, burning occurs in less than a second.
