The Independent is a highly adjustable vertical stander designed for children from 1 year old to young adult who require moderate levels of support when weight bearing. The stander supports the child at the feet, knees, hips and trunk using a wide range of supports, which are independently height, width and angle adjustable. Available in 3 sizes and comes with an activity tray, bowl and cover as standard.

As these frames are not designed to be moved whilst your child is standing in them, if you would like your child to be mobile in their standing frame please see our section on self-propelled standing frames.1-3
There are many considerations to bear in mind when choosing a standing frame and so they should only be used under the guidance of your child's physiotherapist who can advice on the most appropriate stander and on the best positions to use. They can also provide training on their correct use as well as reassessment as your child grows and/or their needs change.1 & 4
