Device to assist pulling on vascular or compression stockings. Comprises wire plastic coated frame with two side handles, foam grips and central square-shaped aperture onto which the stocking is placed.
There are two main types of compression stocking aids: fabric and rigid. A fabric compression stocking aid is usually made from a slippery fabric, and is designed to make it easier slide open-toe style stockings over your foot and leg. You still need to be able to bend and reach your foot with this type of aid. Rigid compression stocking aids are made from a plastic semi-circular tube with two tapes or ribbons attached, or they may consist of a floor standing plastic coated frame, with handles. These assist you to put stockings on if you are unable to bend and reach the floor.1,2
