For people who have difficulty getting into and/or out of bed there is a range of equipment that can be of assistance. For example, bed raisers, grab handles, leg lifters and lifting poles.
Some of this equipment can be used independently, other items may require you to have assistance from a carer.
Everyone varies in strength, balance and agility and each of us has a unique bedroom layout. Consequently it is recommended that you arrange an assessment with a physiotherapist or occupational therapist before purchasing of this kind of equipment.
