This section includes autodialler alarms, remote control lighting and smaller items such as key safes, voice recording reminders, medication dispensers and intercoms.
Many of the items in this section are often referred to as standalone equipment. They are 'standalone' as they do not require connection to additional equipment or call centres. Standalone equipment is often ideal for individuals who have a live-in carer as the equipment can sound an alert or trigger a pager to alert the carer that attention is required. As stand alone equipment does not connect to monitoring or call centres there are no ongoing charges for using this equipment.
