Ten brightly coloured tactile floor discs made of synthetic rubber each with a different texture. Also supplied are small versions of the discs so that the child can hold these in their hand to encourage discrimination. Carry bag supplied.
An inviting tactile material that challenges children's sense of touch on hands and/or feet. At the same time, encouraging expression and the ability to describe sense impressions verbally. The tactile Discs, made of nice-to-touch, synthetic rubber have different tactile surfaces with corresponding colours. Each of the tactile surfaces can be found on a large disc for positioning on the floor, as well as on a small disc that the child will bhe able to hold in his/her hands. In terms of play, the discs offer innumerable possibilities ranging from a fundamental sensing of the tactile surface to blindfold games based on memory and recognition. The games can be adjusted, so that they suit the child's age and ability level. The set of 10 large and 10 small discs with different tactile structures are in a range of colours with a blindfold and a large cloth bag. Dimensions: Large discs 27cm dia. Small discs: 11cm dia
