Product Information

Manufacturer's Product Description

The Neater Arm Support is a powered mobile arm support assistive technology. The sling and frame with friction free jointed arm assembly supports the weight of the user's arm, enabling them to move their arm back and forth freely using their own muscle power. The arm supports are designed for clients with a muscle weakness such as dystrophy, SMA or shorter term with MND; and can be used with spinal injury clients, stroke patients and brain injury clients for rehabilitation purposes. The sling is attached via a metal linkage with frictionless joints to an electrically- powered mechanism which lifts it up and down. The user can control the height using a switch that can be operated by the opposite hand or another part of the body. The unique geometry allows a very wide range of movement . In most cases the technology is attached to a powered wheelchair to provide a go anywhere solution, although a portable stand can be supplied with additional power supply as an option.
