Manufacturer's product description

Astor-Bannerman manufacture special head support cushions and triangular head support cushions suitable for bathing which can be shaped for comfort and are held in place with soft suckers.

Using a small hand bulb, the air is removed from the cushion forming a firm, flexible and comfortable support.

Once the air has been evacuated from the cushion it will hold the same shape indefinitely until the valve is released. The cushion will then go back to being soft and easily shaped.

These cushions are often the best way of giving precise, directed support during bathing.
