Toilet frames without seats

A toilet surround frame can be placed around a toilet and provides you with a hand-hold on either side. These can be useful if you require support when getting on and off a toilet and need a hand hold to push up from (Pain, McLellan & Gore, 2003). The height of the rails can usually be adjusted to provide the hand-holds at the most appropriate height for you (usually around elbow height) (Disabled Living Foundation, 2009). Frames may be used with most toilets, some commodes and some portable toilets.

This group contains a selection of frames that are placed around a toilet and frames which fix to the toilet, frames for heavy duty use are also included.
