Trusted provider of aids for daily living

Depending on where you live, you may find shops that sell daily living equipment have a logo that says they are a "Trusted provider of aids for daily living" (see logo on right).

This means that in that area the Local Authority has approved specific retailers to issue certain items of equipment if you show them a prescription for that item. The prescriptions are issued to individuals who have been assessed by the Local Authority as needing them and who are eligible for state support. Retailers who have been approved in this way can show this logo.

Please note that not all Local Authorities operate in the same way so your area may not issue prescriptions for equipment, but instead may deliver equipment from their own community equipment stores.
